Produced by Dansk, of Denmark, an early Jens Quistgaard design, in Flamestone, the first oven-proof porcelain. All items are marked with the Dansk design.
Plates are embossed marked with the "DANSK DESIGNS DENMARK IHQ" .
Dansk Flameware is unique and amazing because its dark chocolate color comes not from a glaze but from the clay itself.
This is a great mid-century modern design.
Plates dark brown (a matte
bisque
jasperware finish) with a white porcelain interior or center.
All are in great condition.
