    Description

We have the RARE IN THIS CONDITION entire (four piece) 1948 LONE RANGER FRONTIER TOWN GM Cheerios cereal premium, in unused condition with the original mailing envelopes.
This was the largest biggest cereal premium ever offered, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Lone Ranger radio program in 1948 (73 years ago!).
Each envelope contains a 20x26" map/landscape section with assembly instructions on the reverse, and a tri-fold heavy cardboard piece with the buildings, train, etc printed on it.
The finished town would be 4 by 4 feet big, with 71(!) buildings and assembled pieces.
THE LAST IMAGE SHOWS THE COMPLETED TOWN AND IS NOT PART OF THE LOT. It  is for illustrative purposes only.
    There is some slight separation
    of an inch or so
    at the perforated seams
on a couple of the pieces. O
ne panel is totally detached, another one is hanging by a thread, but the others are not too bad.
I don't think any of the landscape sections have been totally unfolded until one of them today for the landscape- side picture. These haven't been out of their envelopes in over 40 years at least.
One envelope has a torn flap, the others are nice- all show some age but once again not badly.
The map in the first photo has a one inch or so tear along a fold that can be seen in the picture.
If more pix are needed let me know- I didn't want to unfold the sections too much or mess around with it.
Worthpoint shows one in similar condition (but with no card separation) sold for  00 in 2007. At the time they had only seen TWO unused examples in their 40 years as an auction house. Now the only question is if there are any rabid Lone Ranger fans left...
