"TOM MIX MUSICAL RING" MAIL PREMIUM
- 1949. Ralston cereal mail premium. 1.75" x 1.25".
Brass base has adjustable bands and features "TM" initials on each side over Ralston checkerboard pattern. Top has brass loop holding silver aluminum tube which has a mouthpiece as well as a metal rod that slides in and out so that when blown the pitch of the whistle changes. This is a working example.
Attractively designed as a premium for the popular radio show featuring western star TOM MIX. Well constructed with nice eye appeal.
Condition is considered FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate discoloration with spot oxidation on lower adjustable band area. Areas of luster still remain.
Overall, we feel this is still a very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
