Description
New old stock (NOS) Robertshaw brand direct replacement for oven thermostat models RG-2-66, WB21X5208, WB21X5210, CT26P90, 12C T26, 12CTxx, and many more. Replaces original double pole single throw (DPST) thermostats made by Hotpoint/GE since 1946 and used in the Stratoliner and other classic General Electric kitchen stoves and ranges. Four wire connections. Shaft extra long for simple cutting to appropriate length. Your old knob may or may not need a slight modification to fit tightly on the shaft. Photos here feature a gorgeous late 1940's GE push button range whose original thermostat had failed causing the oven to only operate from 480 degrees and up. It was restored to proper function by replacement with the thermostat model featured here. Two mounting holes in exactly the right locations that are tapped perfectly for the original screws. An appliance repair service charged 0 to test and report what we already knew and then quoted 6 for the replacement thermostat part alone! And, it was a used one pulled from another old stove. We didn't bother to ask for the cost of the labor to install it... These beautiful old ranges are disappearing quickly. Don't let grandma's stove go to the dump when all it needs is a simple thermostat replacement!
