    This is a 6" Hook and Loop Ceramic Mesh disc with a 400 grit (fine grain).  This is used in very demanding conditions and will last longer than standard aluminum oxide paper discs.  This is used for more demanding conditions such as harder woods and automotive finishing.  The manufacturer states "dust free sanding", although this design considerably cuts down on sanding dust it is not eliminated.
